Info: This is a large park on Jefferson County-owned land in the town of Lorraine, with parking areas and many trails, a nice picnic area with log buildings, pavilions, a stream, and toilets. Some trails have signs and markings. Camping without permits is allowed.  There are two entrances to the park, one at the top of a hill and another at the bottom - this is the one with the picnic area. There is also a large, deep gorge. The trails are great for biking, hiking, & skiing. You may also see snowmobiles and ATV's.

Directions: From Watertown, head out of the city on Washington Street and keep going. It will become Route 11 (watch for Talcott Falls on the left, a nice sight-seeing stop) and a few miles past Watertown you will go through Adams Center. Continue through Adams Center until you reach Adams.

Directly outside of the village of Adams, Route 11 curves to the right. On the left hand side there is Route 189, take a left onto this. Continue until you come to Washington Park Road on the left. Follow this road until you find the park on the left , around a mile.

Alternately, you can get on Route 81 from Watertown heading south until you get to the Adams exit. Take a left until you reach the light in Adams and then take a right onto Route 11. Follow the instructions in the paragraph above.
