Info: Located on 92 acres at the former Lowville Tree Nursery.  The arboretum has more then 300 species of cultivars of trees and shrubs, much wildlife, tours of tree orchards, a fish pond and picnic areas, and an observation tower, marsh, Adirondack lean-to.  See map of trail below.

Directions: From Watertown take Route 12 to Lowville (about 25 miles), look for NY State Route 812 (Shady Ave?) and continue on it until you have passed out of Lowville a short distance, toward Croghan and Harrisville, look for the area is on the left, you will see the tower.  See map below.

Trail Distance: 2 miles, small secondary trails go further.

Date/Time Open: Daytime all year round.

Mountain Biking Allowed: Probably.

Regular Biking Allowed: Probably.

Hiking/Walking Allowed: Yes.

Cross-Country Skiing: Yes.

Fishing: Yes.

Pets Allowed: Yes.

Built on Former Railroad Bed: No.

Special Instructions: Pick up a pamphlet and follow the trail markings and trail numbers.
